What are the qualifications for being an Expressive Arts Facilitator?
These were students who had previously done 3 minute performance pieces and did not normally struggle. Motivation and love needed to be central to their experience. So we slowed down, focused on details and the way the movements felt. Our class time included playful times of what the students needed.
“Some students will take to it quickly and become addicted, while others will be exasperated or repelled. Faculty will need to keep the lessons balanced and joyous; but cannot sacrifice the opportunity for students to face the straightforward, simple technique principles offered in our lessons”, explained Payne.
