One day, I went to meet a new client. As I arrived, an associate greeted me warmly and said something surprising:
“I already know you.”
Curious, I asked where we had met. She gave me her name and mentioned a project from 2002.
She had been a middle schooler back then, involved in a program we facilitated. Now here she was, on the other side of the table, as a professional.
We shared a wonderful moment of reminiscing. And then, the meeting began. As I sat down, I recognized two clear epiphanies:
- The priority now is cultivating the potential of this renewed partnership.
- Success will require patience with the learning curve that comes from evolving teams and perspectives.
Arts + More Services has been creating arts programming for over 30 years. When a company, and a person, has been in the same space for that long, there’s a different kind of growth that happens. A deeper kind. A layered kind.
I’m not the same person I was in 2002.
And that’s both a strength and a humbling truth.
I’m grateful for the memories. And even more grateful for the emotional intelligence that helps me look back at my early enthusiasm, with all its bright, naive energy, and smile.
The Leadership Lesson:
In the long game, your work will come back to meet you—sometimes literally. And when it does, let it remind you of two things:
The seeds you plant today may not bloom for decades. Growth isn’t just in your resume; it’s in your reflection.
Keep showing up. Keep evolving. Because in business, full-circle moments are more than just feel-good; they’re proof that your legacy is being built, one project at a time.
At Arts + More, I believe every project carries a story worth amplifying. I partner with schools, nonprofits, and creative initiatives to turn those stories into meaningful, lasting impact. By blending interdisciplinary arts with proven leadership practices, I help move ideas from vision to reality with clarity, focus, and agility.
As a nonprofit leader, educator, and strategist with more than 35 years of experience, I bring deep expertise in communication, program design, and strategic planning. My background as an international choreographer and teaching artist shapes a unique approach that uses movement, mindfulness, and narrative practices to spark innovation, build inclusive communities, and strengthen organizational culture.
