Personal expression through dance is a sacred form of artistry. I enjoy reminding students that the arts allow them to create symbols for their feelings and stories. In this particular choreography there are two groups of dancers each representing different solutions to the circumstances explored through metaphor. Once meaningful symbols are assigned the dancers use play and choreographic manipulations to piece the work together like a puzzle. Often times this provides real life solutions to circumstances because the mind becomes palliative.
